Service Overview

The hospital experience can be filled with various emotions – happiness, grief, excitement and fear. Our spiritual care services offer support and comforting guidance to patients, family members and visitors during their time at our medical centers.

Clinically trained chaplains are available to provide compassionate spiritual care that respects an individual's personal beliefs.

Each medical center houses a dedicated space for prayer, meditation or quiet reflection – giving time and opportunity to recharge spiritually and emotionally.

Care at Kapiʻolani

We have two chapels that are always open to people of every faith:

  • The first chapel is located on the second floor of the main medical center adjacent to the pediatric units.
  • The second chapel is located on the second floor of the Diamond Head Tower near the visitors’ elevators.

Our chapels serve as sanctuaries where patients, families and visitors can find solace, peace and comfort – places where a person can reflect on their loved one’s well-being and offer gratitude for life.
