Visiting Hours and Guidelines

General visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily.

Wilcox Medical Center understands that family presence can often aid in the healing process. That's why we make accommodating family time a priority at our medical center.

Parking

Parking

The entrance to our parking lot is located off of Kūhiō Highway. It is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Dining

Wilcox Café

The Wilcox Café is located on the ground floor of the Wilcox Medical Center, just past the elevators in the lobby. It is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Our cafeteria features sandwich and salad bars, vegetarian entrees, and a dietitian's special daily.

Self-checkout kiosks are open 24 hours a day for grab-and-go cold foods, microwavable entrees, fresh fruits, packaged snacks, and beverages. Self-checkout accepts credit cards, including Tap to Pay and Apple Pay phones and watches. Cash transactions can be made during cafeteria hours.

Patient Meals

For inpatients, unless otherwise ordered by your doctor, we will serve you three meals daily according to the following schedule (times may vary):

  • Breakfast: 7:15 a.m.
  • Lunch: noon
  • Dinner: 5:15 p.m.

If you are admitted between these hours, you may request a light meal or snack. If you have questions about the therapeutic diet your doctor has ordered for you, or have special dietary requests such as vegetarian, gluten free, or a need for alternate textures, please ask to speak with a registered dietitian.

Televisions
The TV in each patient room provides access to entertainment and hospital information.

The TV also serves as an educational resource, offering information about the hospital, available services, and a variety of health topics.

Telephones
A telephone is available in each patient room and can be used to make internal calls to other rooms or departments, as well as local calls.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available for Wilcox patients and visitors.

Newspaper
A daily complimentary copy of the newspaper is available for patients.

Spiritual Care

Chapel

An interfaith chapel is in the first-floor lobby of the medical center, next to the elevators. It is open 24 hours a day for private prayer and meditation.

Chaplaincy Program

Hospital chaplains are available to support the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families, and visitors.

To speak with a chaplain, arrange a visit, or to request a clergy member of a particular faith, please ask your nurse, or call the hospital operator at 808-245-1100.

Patients and families are also welcome to have their own spiritual care provider visit while at the medical center.

Gift Shop

Gift Shop

Our Gift Shop offers a selection of flowers, balloons, stuffed animals, locally made items, and See's candy. It's located near the lobby of the medical center, adjacent to the Kauaʻi Medical Clinic.

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Closed Saturday, Sundays, and holidays, including the Friday after Thanksgiving.

On-site services are available to help patients and visitors find support, get information, and navigate their stay.

Information Desk

Both Wilcox Medical Center and Kauaʻi Medical Clinic have information clerks to help answer your questions or to direct you to the appropriate department.

Medical Records

Each patient at Kauaʻi Medical Clinic and Wilcox Medical Center has a medical record that documents all medical care they have received at our facilities. Your records are kept strictly confidential and cannot be disclosed or transferred without your written permission or a court order.

To receive a copy of your record, please contact the Medical Record Department at least three days in advance to allow adequate preparation time. There may be a copying fee.

Patient Relations

Your comments and feedback are important to us. If you or your family has concerns that are not resolved after speaking to your caregiver, we encourage you to email our patient relations team at PatientRelations@WilcoxHealth.org or call 808-245-1261.

Convenience Services

ATM
An ATM machine is located near the main entrance to Wilcox Medical Center between the Gift Shop and the Admitting Office.

TTY Services
Communication is essential to good healthcare. Please let us know if you have specific needs concerning language, hearing, or vision. Ask your care provider to arrange for an interpreter if you are hearing impaired or if English is not your primary language.

MyChart® by Hawai‘i Pacific Health

MyChart® by Hawaiʻi Pacific Health is a secure online portal that lets you view your medical records, schedule appointments, and communicate with your care team.

CaringBridge

CaringBridge offers free, personalized websites to help patients share updates and stay connected with family and friends.

CareEverywhere

CareEverywhere allows your health information to be electronically shared between healthcare providers for treatment purposes. 

Physician Compare

If you are interested in finding and comparing physicians in your area, visit Physician Compare, a free online tool from Medicare.
