If you’ve recently decided to add more greens into your diet, great job!

Vegetables are important sources of many key nutrients our bodies need to thrive, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate and vitamins A, C, E and K, just to name a few.

But sometimes a salad just won’t do, which is where a green smoothie comes in to play.

Green smoothies are a quick, easy and delicious way to get all the nutrients fruits and vegetables provide.

This smoothie is best made in a high-speed blender or NutriBullet to preserve all of its nutrients, including dietary fiber.

Fiber is an important nutrient that plays a key role in lowering cholesterol, controlling blood sugar levels and keeping you regular.

Fiber also helps slow the digestion and absorption of fructose, a type of sugar found in fruits and vegetables.

To make sure you’re getting the highest amount of fiber, leave the edible skins on fruits or vegetables.

Directions

STEP 1

Put kale and coconut water in a blender and blend until smooth and no large chunks of kale remain.

STEP 2

Add remaining ingredients and blend until smoothie reaches desired consistency.
