Dr. Derek Johnson specializes in minimally invasive joint surgery. By using a fiber-optic camera, Dr. Johnson can diagnose and treat joint problems common to the shoulder, hip and knee. Specifically, he specializes in arthroscopic shoulder rotator cuff repair and labral repair; arthroscopic labral repair of the hip; and ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair of the knee. Dr. Johnson strongly believes in mentoring students interested in health careers and is an avid volunteer for local youth and high school athletics on the island of Kauai. When he's not diving or surfing, Dr. Johnson can be found spending time with his family.
