Dr. Carol Fujiyoshi now serves as Chief of the OBGYN clinic at Kauai Medical Clinic and is a board member of Wilcox Medical Center. She is also currently a board member of Malama Pono and is helping to develop a women's health clinic for the uninsured and under insured population of Kauai. Dr. Fujiyoshi has served as a staff obstetrician and gynecologist as well as department chief in Kentucky and Desert Storm, where she earned an Army Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service Medal for her service. She was recognized as the Finest Gynecologist in Franklin County, Tennessee, for 2010, the same year she joined the Kauai Medical Clinic. Dr. Fujiyoshi's philosophy of care is to help her patients obtain a good quality of life both physically and emotionally, and to be their advocate in the process. She believes in encouraging all of her patients to adopt healthy habits as part of their preventive health care. Her special interests include routine and high-risk obstetrical and gynecological care, adolescent gynecology, infertility, minimally invasive surgery and pelvic reconstruction. In her free time, Dr. Fujiyoshi enjoys playing tennis and quilting.
