Biography
Dr. Baldwin is an adult cardiac surgeon at Hawaii Pacific Health in Honolulu, primarily based at Straub Medical Center. Originally from the Northeast, he attended Phillips Academy and Harvard College. After completing medical school at the University of Texas, he pursued General Surgery residency training at Yale University, where he served as the administrative chief resident and was recognized with the Samuel Harvey Award as outstanding chief resident. He then completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School with additional specialized Cardiopulmonary Transplant training from the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Baldwin has a particular interest in valvular disease and minimally invasive techniques for cardiac surgery. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Baldwin and his wife (also a cardiac surgeon) prioritize family time with their young daughter and dog.
